VIN to Win: The Valtra 6350 HiTech

The winner of the Valtra ultimate refurb was a Valtra 6350 HiTech owned by Christoph Brunner from Austria. We can’t wait to share more information about the refurb of this machine but in the meantime, we thought we’d look back at the 6350 which was manufactured in Suolahti, Finland between 1999 and 2007.
When it launched 23 years ago, the 6350 was a modern machine at the top of its game – and it still beats many new tractors with its large and comfortable cab, smooth transmission and great ground clearance.
Christoph and many other farmers rely on the 6350 to tackle vital farm tasks like “forestry work and snow removal in winter… feeding the animals and in the summer, harvesting … and other transport work as well."
Back in 1999, the 6350 model was placed next to the already popular 6400 (launched in 1996) and had new HiTech 2.0 transmission. The tractor had a new engine, the 420 DSRE, which was considered Valtra’s first step into increasing environmental requirements.
The 6350 had up-to-date transmission automatics, with adjustable automatic (three-step) power shifting and four-wheel-drive automatics. The tractor could also offer a turbine clutch option (HiTrol), which made it unbeatable as a front loader tractor.
Another well-known option included on this tractor was TwinTrac reverse drive equipment. Even pneumatic front axle suspension was available, despite being rarely sold on four-cylinder tractors at that time.
Over the eight years of production, 3,544 6350s were manufactured and sold across Europe. And, 23 years on, it’s great to hear that Christoph describes his as “very precious” to him – this model is certainly very precious to us here at Valtra as well.
